Summer 2026 – those lazy days of summer (well sort of!)
Catherine Holmes
The summer of 26 will be memorable I’m sure – not least for the extreme heat! And those of you that braved the hot weather on camps and holidays and at the fabulous badge days, will remember it for the great times that you had. Even if the leaders needed to be spritzed with cold water at the end of the day!
I was lucky enough to visit some local camps taking place in Boxford and Ipswich and to go to Hautbois Fest for the day (actually, I was sort of sad to leave & wished I’d booked an overnight….until I got home to my proper bed and only noise being the whirr of the cooling fan in the background).
Everyone was having such a great time – so many different activities to try, friends to make, badges to gain, sausages to eat. And thanks to all the leaders who have made this possible.
Then there was our radio interview. We had a hard act to follow (Poppy on the BBC Breakfast stole the show) but Ruby & Trudy were our fabulous budding radio presenters – have a listen to the broadcast. We’re all excited about the new uniform and look forward to showcasing it at the Hold, Ipswich in October /November.
So we’re all ready for the new term – lots to do and plan for. Keep following us to see what’s happening next.
